Gday team,
Slowly coming to terms with the new MN 2.5 but have come across my first slight issue I'm unable to rectify. And searching so far has not given me much if anything, but happy to be corrected there.
When driving at highway speeds all is happy in life, however if I back off for roadworks or the like there is a few moments of no power when applying right pedal again, time between backing off and accelerating doesn't seem to matter from 5 seconds to 30 seconds of coasting I have had this symptom. It's as if there is zero power, I even looked to see if it had stalled the first couple of times. After a few seconds (5-20)things come back and all is well. No codes thrown yet so no info there. It's almost as if it's not getting fuel, but if there was a supply or flow rate issue I would expect under load performance to be impacted.
Since buying I have given the manifold a clean out as it was very blocked, cleaned MAF sensor, removed battery multiple times, fitted provent, ran 2 batches of injector cleaner.
Today I pulled the SCV hoping I could polish like the one in my ML but it's the sealed version. Only thing I'm yet to change is fuel filter.
Primarily did all of the above to try and reduce fuel usage, as it was sitting around 13l/100 initially when purchased. It's down to around 11.5 around town now but oddly goes up to 12-12.5 on the highway. Can't help but think something is up due to the higher fuel usage on highway compared to around town.
2013 MN Auto
200k
245/70r16 and 265/70r16 no change to fuel usage
No bar work, no lift, no weight.
I'm pretty much out of ideas now, short of a dealer visit to see if they can pick anything up. Will do fuel filter first just so I can feel like I've done everything but don't see it making much difference.
Any suggestions?
