You can't go too wrong with any of the Tritons, in general they're a pretty reliable and well sorted ute.. unless you're unlucky enough to get a dodgy block on the MN.. Lots of info on that issue here in the forum.
And I wouldn't say it's a myth for bent chassis on MN dual cabs. They do seem to have more of a reputation for bending, compared to that of other dual cabs out there. Bent chassis in the Triton range are almost exclusive to the the MN dual cab, this is thanks to Mitsubish when they increased the length of the tub and tow capacity without strengthening the chassis.They have now corrected that mistake with the new chassis on the MQ & MR models.
Although, chassis bracing/strengthening on any dual cab ute is a good idea.. especially on the MN, is a wise decision if you're going to be using it for tough outback touring.
