Hi all,
I haven't been on here in a long time, but here is my situation:
60,000klm ago (when i got my MQ) i had a garage with a low door so couldn't get a lift kit or i wouldn't have got in the door. But the factory suspension needed work.
So i got standard height "ready struts" that were a little heavier-duty, and replacement rear shocks, from Ultimate, and i have found them to be good. I stuck with the factory rear leaf springs.
I am finding things a bit more "twitchy" now, and still don't feel i need a lift. (the front wheel centres to guards are 545mm, and the rears unladen are 580.)
So my questions:
Should the rear shock absorbers need replacing after 60, 000klm, or not yet? AND: Is there any reason to replace my rear bushes and put in greasable shackles, or not really?
the Triton does mostly highway, with a bit of gravel, and tows a 4.2m tinny.
Thanks,
Puk
